Judges have been selected for the Annual Mardi Gras Costume Contest at King's Court to be held February 16, Mardi Gras day. The King's Court will be located at Parc Sans Souci on the corner of Polk and Vermilion Streets. The costume contest is free, and it's open to children and adults. The theme this year is "Saints Fever".

Now that the New Orleans Saints have won their first Super Bowl, Saints fans are taking to the streets of the French Quarter to party. Many fans are now asking, when is the New Orleans Saints Super Bowl Parade?

The Optimist Club of Lafayette would like to wish everyone a safe and happy Mardi Gras. As ‘Friends of Youth’ we consider it our responsibility to increase awareness of parade safety to insure our Lafayette youth have an accident free holiday.
